I am a practising psychologist and psychotherapist based in Box Hill, Melbourne. I also consult by videoconference (Zoom) or telephone wherever you are in Australia or the world, in English and Spanish.
I provide a range of specialised therapeutic services to support your mental, emotional and relational wellbeing. With over 25 years of experience, I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy, family therapy, relationship counselling, psychosexual therapy and transpersonal psychotherapy. My approach is client-centred, so the work is shaped by your needs and preferences, whether you want to resolve conflict, improve intimacy or explore spiritual growth.
Clinical approach
Regardless of the therapeutic framework, my approach always has you at the centre of the process. A non-judging, client-centred value is the foundation for every other approach.
Qualifications
A Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences with Honours, a two-year clinical internship at the Cairnmillar Institute, and postgraduate training in CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, marital and family therapy, transpersonal psychology and clinical hypnosis.
Experience
To my clinical practice I bring over 25 years' experience, as well as training in multiple facets of psychology, relationship counselling, family therapy, consciousness studies and philosophy.

Do you offer telehealth or online sessions?
Yes. You can access my services from anywhere in Australia and beyond, by telephone or by videoconference (Zoom). Telehealth suits people who cannot easily leave home, parents who find it hard to arrange care for their children, and anyone without a practitioner with the right expertise nearby. To reserve a telehealth consultation, contact me by email or phone.
Is therapy tailored to me?

What qualifications does Miguel have?
Miguel holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science with Honours and has completed extensive training in evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). He has also completed diploma-level postgraduate training in relationship counselling and family therapy.
